Morning at Seminyak/Petitenget beach. Lunch at Potato Head Beach Club (legendary!). Afternoon: drive to Tanah Lot sea temple for the famous sunset. Most photographed spot in Bali. Dinner at Jimbaran seafood BBQ on the beach.

Check out by 12:00. Stop at Batuan Temple en route. Arrive Ubud villa. Walk Campuhan Ridge in the late afternoon for stunning valley views. Dinner at Locavore or Mozaic (book in advance – best restaurants in Bali!).

⛩️ Ubud – Monkey Forest & Rice Terraces
Morning: Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (over 700 monkeys – Ben will be obsessed!). Tegallalang Rice Terraces with the famous Instagram swing. Traditional Balinese cooking class in the afternoon. Evening: Legong dance performance at Ubud Palace.

Tirta Empul – sacred holy spring temple where you can participate in ritual purification bathing. An unforgettable spiritual experience. Goa Gajah Elephant Cave (11th century). Rice paddy walk in the afternoon. Traditional Balinese massage evening.

🏯 Besakih Mother Temple
Pura Besakih – Bali's most important and largest Hindu temple complex, on the slopes of Mt Agung at 1,000m. Dramatic misty mountain scenery. Wear a sarong (provided at gate). Allow 3–4 hours. A deeply spiritual and impressive sight.

🌋 Mount Batur Sunrise Hike
Wake up at 2am! Drive to Toya Bungkah. Trek up active volcano with local guide (2h up, arrive at summit for sunrise). Watch the sun rise over Mt Rinjani and Lake Batur – one of Bali's most memorable experiences. Breakfast on the crater! Book guide in advance.

Kintamani Highlands viewpoint with Lake Batur panorama. Drive south to Sanur. Calm, family-friendly beach. Sunset walk along the famous Sanur boardwalk (5km beach path). Last Bali evening dinner.

🧕 Temple dress code
Always wear a sarong and sash at temples. Usually available to borrow/buy at the gate. Women on their period should not enter. Shoulders and legs covered.
🙏 Offerings & ceremonies
You may encounter ceremonial processions – stand aside respectfully. Don't step over offerings (canang sari) on the ground – walk around them.
⚠️ Monkey safety
Don't feed the monkeys unless you buy official food there. Don't wear glasses or jewellery at Monkey Forest – they will grab them. Keep bags zipped!
